The 2026–2027 school year will begin on September 12, 2026
Current students are already registered. Payment for the fall semester will open in July.
New students who would like to enroll are welcome to contact our principals at: rektor@svenskaskolanwashingtondc.org.
More information about the start of the school year will be sent out before the beginning of the semester by our principals, Jenny and Tove, as well as our teachers.

Step 1:
Registration
This year we have a simplified registration process where you fill out a registration form (see below) and then either pay via Zelle or send a check to the school.
The school welcomes new students this year as well, but those who have not attended the school during the spring semester of 2025 are asked to contact our principals Jenny Pugh & Tove Elfström, ( rektor@svenskaskolanwashingtondc.org ) for a discussion about class placement and Swedish skills before registering.

Step 2:
Payment
For the fall semester of 2025, the fee is $480 per student from Kindergarten to sixth grade for the first child in each family. For child number 2 and beyond, the fee is $432 per child. The fee for children in the Playgroup is $150 per child. The fee for children in the Mom & Dadgroup is $100 per family. (If the 3-4 year olds want to be with them all day 9:30-12:00, it will be $100+$150=$250 for them).
This semester you can pay in two ways. Either via Zelle directly to Svenska Skolan from your own bank or you write a check made out to the school (Swedish School for Children) and put it in the box (or bring it to the start of the semester).
To pay with Zelle: Log in to your own online bank and choose to pay with Zelle. Use “treasurer@svenskaskolanwashingtondc.org” as the recipient.
